The Avenue Cookery School is a family run company that teaches cooking to all ages and abilities. We are a small team with lots of energy and drive who are seeking a like minded, native English speaking Administration Assistant Volunteer to join our team to start immediately.

We are looking for a hard-worker who is very efficient, reliable, has initiative and writes and speaks perfect English!

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for experience in an office environment and with Administration.

The role will be keeping on top of general admin of the business and will include tasks from all aspects of the business, which will be a great insight on how a business runs. There will also be an element of research, online file organisation, typing up documents and contacting potential customers over email. There is always something to be done so there is no reason for clock watching, thumb twiddling or personal phone use - a get things done attitude is essential!

It is very important that the person we work with is a hard worker but at the same time easy going as we are a fun family run business and it is not a 'clock-work' operation. We are all straight forward and to the point so need someone who can take constructive criticism and can be honest back. Being flexible in the role is a must as we are a small company and, when needed, all pitch in together but a lot of the time you will be given work to get on with alone.

Hours are 9-5pm. London based travel will be covered and lunch provided. The candidate will need their own laptop.

Great for those interested in food and cooking, and who want to be part of a fun close team. You will definitely improve your food knowledge as well as gain some good knowledge of Administration and running a small business.

Please make your application as personal and specific to the job and addressed to me, Emma. - I will not read past the first line if it is a generic email - we are a personal company and want to work with like-minded people.

You will not be judged on whether you have a degree or not, we just look for a hard worker who will fit in.
