The Avenue Cookery School is a family run company that teaches cooking to all ages and abilities. We are a small team with lots of energy and drive who are seeking a like minded, English speaking Photography Volunteer to join our team.
This role is perfect for those who want to practice and improve their food and people photography skills and increasing their portfolio.
It will involve attending the classes and taking photos of all aspects of the class - food, people and the space. We will ask you to attend slightly before people turning up so you can capture the setting up and then to stay until the end in order to get the final results of each class, which usually is everyone sitting round our dining table and enjoying the food they just made.
After the class we would ask you to edit the photos and send at least 15 over to us to use for marketing and promotional purposes - you will be tagged in any photos we use on our social media.
We are looking for someone who is efficient, reliable, has initiative, flexibility, speaks and understands English, experience in photography is essential as is a good laid back character! It is very important that the person we work with is a hard worker but at the same time easy going as we are a fun family run business and it is not a 'clock-work' operation. We are all straight forward and to the point so need someone who can take constructive criticism and can be honest back.
The classes can be up to 24 participants so can be pretty fast paced with not always time to 'arrange' the photo so will be a matter of catching the moment.
Take a look at our website and Instagram to see the kind of feel we want the photography to have. Check out the video on our homepage.
Hours are dependent on our classes but we can be flexible to a certain degree as to which classes you work on. We have classes running on weekdays, weekends and evenings.
London based travel will be covered and excellent food provided. You will need your own camera and equipment for this role.
Please apply to our email and include a link to some of your work, as well as making your application personal and specific to the job and addressed to me, Sophie. - I will not read past the first line if it is a generic email - we are a personal company and want to work with like-minded people.
No qualifications needed but experience in photography is essential
