An exciting opportunity to join an international technical recruitment company based in central London (SE16).

Established in 2003 and now in its 15th year of successful trading, Virtual Human Resources (VHR) has offices in London, Manchester and Abu Dhabi, which serves a rapidly growing mix of national and international clients across the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Motorsport, Engineering & Defence and Marine industries.

With a turnover approaching £35M and a multinational workforce of 70 staff, VHR requires an enthusiastic team player to join the organisation in a Finance Assistant Internship.

Currently utilising the QuickBooks accounting application, your duties will cover all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable. VHR’s client base spreads across the UK, Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and AsiaPac. Currencies include GBP, Euro, US Dollars and UAE Dirhams.

Qualifications

KEY LEARNING SKILLS

You will join our busy Finance Department of nine staff whose task is the timely raising and submission of sales invoices to customers and the weekly, on time, payment of several hundred temporary and contract workers.

Utilising the QuickBooks accounting application, your tasks will support many aspects of purchase and sales ledger, including:

• Collating, checking and matching temporary worker timesheets
• Contacting temporary workers/suppliers to request timesheets and invoices where required
• Posting purchase invoices to the Company’s accounting application
• Raising sales invoices on the Company’s accounting application
• Submission of sales invoices to customers
• Submission of remittance advice to suppliers
• Creation and submission of customer statements
• Posting supplier payments to our online banking system
• Registering and updating customer and supplier information on the Company’s systems
• Filing and administration

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• The right candidate must be professional, well-spoken and presentable
• They will be an experienced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office & Word
• They will be self-motivated, highly organised and attentive
• They will show willingness to assist with general business administration duties
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
