Doctors of the World UK (DOW UK) was established in January 1998 and is part of the Médecins du Monde network. We are an international aid organisation that provides medical care and gives a voice to vulnerable people all over the world. Our network of volunteer healthcare professionals provide care in over 70 countries worldwide. We help vulnerable people across the world, from young mothers and their babies in the slums of India to injured civilians in Libya, and victims of natural disasters like the earthquake in Haiti and Japan. Here in the UK we run Project:London where we help some of the community's most vulnerable, including victims of torture and people fleeing violence, pregnant mothers unable to access antenatal care, and babies in need of basic immunisations. We advocate tirelessly to make sure that everyone gets the healthcare they need. Because health is a human right.
