The role

The firm is in a strong position and has experienced healthy and sustained year on year growth. The accountancy world is rapidly evolving and GE as a firm is committed to developing the business to stay at the top of its game. As part of GE’s strategic plan, a recently established Marketing function is in place and they are now seeking to recruit a Marketing Assistant (intern) to join the team for three months, though this period may be extended.
The role will report to the firm’s Marketing Director. This is an exciting time to join the firm and work closely with the Marketing Director to help build the marketing department through involvement in some significant projects.
Day-to-day activities will include but not limited to:
- Supporting the Marketing Director will the firm’s Marketing and Business Development activity.
- Working closely with the Marketing Director on special projects and the development of new initiatives.
- Taking ownership of a significant project involving data capture, cleansing and input, working with senior stakeholders firm wide.
- Creation of mailing lists for specific initiatives.
- Ad-hoc duties as required including research requests, providing assistance on a variety of events including seminars, drinks evenings, lunches/dinners…etc.


Skills and experience

Candidates should:

- Preferably have some previous experience of working in an office
- Have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, working calmly and efficiently at all times.
- Have good interpersonal skills, able to work with individuals at all levels.
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Take pride in their work ensuring that deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard.
- Have good MS Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be flexible, willing to adapt and happy to work collaboratively in a team.
- Be highly presentable.
- Respect confidentiality.
- Be able to use initiative and common sense as appropriate with the maturity to know when to act and when to ask.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Be prepared to occasionally work beyond standard office hours when necessary, for example at corporate events.
