Position Description:
MYL offers the Administration and Communication intern the opportunity to develop skills and experience in various areas of small business management especially with respect to the area of communication.

The Administration and Communication will support the Director of MYL in developing and implementing communications strategies in 4 project areas. The role includes , telephone and written communication (in both French and English) with potential clients and bookkeeping and resource creation.

Below is an outline of our current projects and the roles required of our intern.

Mind Your Bilingual Linguistic Camps

French Immersion programme during school holidays for 4-19 year olds

MYL runs camps in Southend on Sea, England and France for children and their families. The camps offer opportunities for language immersion in various contexts.

Updating website and all other social media links
Designing publicity for clubs
Communicating with schools and parents by phone and email
Taking part in workshops when required.
Implementing marketing strategy as directed by line manager.

Sharing ideas with the team on effective marketing techniques to fill up the camps.

Carrying out other administrative tasks as required.

MYL Musical Theatre Projects
We are working with Masaru productions and Sing in French to bring bilingual theatre to the UK stages.
Implementing marketing strategy as directed by line manager.

Person Specification
Undergraduate student in marketing or public relations.
You must be organised, independent, dynamic.
A very good capacity in communication capacity and excellent spelling and grammar.
A good understanding of social media networks.
Good written and spoken French will be a bonus.
