About the Future Technologies team The Future Technologies team (http://labs.pearson.com/prototypes/) is Pearson's global R&D/Innovation team. We work with all businesses within Pearson (Education, Financial Times Group and Penguin Group), and provide a jump-start to the businesses by building prototypes and proof-of-concepts using technologies (software and hardware) that are 6 to 12 months ahead of mainstream adoption. The prototypes use content from one or more of Pearson's businesses, and are delivered in collaboration with Pearson businesses within 3 months. The team also manages a virtual, internal innovation community and promotes a more start-up like delivery process and work culture within the company. In addition to this, it also runs Pearson's incubator programme, Catalyst for Education (http://labs.pearson.com/catalyst/).
