The Avenue Cookery School is a funky, fun, family run business teaching cookery to all ages and abilities! We are a small team bursting with energy and drive, seeking a like-minded, native English speaking Administration Assistant Volunteer to join the team. We are looking for a hard-worker who is extra efficient, reliable, has initiative and writes/speaks perfect English! This is a great opportunity for someone looking for experience in a fun but informative office environment and with general Administration. The role will be keeping on top of the general admin of the business and will include tasks from all aspects - which will, in turn, give you a great insight into how a small business runs! There will also be an element of research, online file organisation, typing up documents and contacting potential customers via email. There is always something to be done so there is no reason for clock watching, thumb twiddling or personal phone use - a get things done attitude is essential!It is very important that the person we work with is a hard worker though at the same time easy going due to the nature of our fun family run business! It is not a 'clock-work' operation. We are all straightforward and to the point so need someone who can take constructive criticism and can be honest back. Being flexible in the role is a must as we are a small company and, when needed, all pitch in together but a lot of the time you will be given work to get on with alone. Hours are 9-5pm and you will predominantly work from home but occasionally need to travel in. London based travel will be covered and lunch provided. The candidate will need their own laptop. Great for those interested in food and cooking, and who want to be part of a fun close team. You will definitely improve your food knowledge as well as gain some good knowledge of Administration and running a small business.
