We are currently seeking an energetic and highly-motivated Digital Marketing Intern to work alongside the Marketing team. As our Digital Marketing Intern you will be supporting the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy through the delivery of successful organic social media campaigns and content creation. In addition to this, you will support on the B2C side of the team, assisting on the creation of email marketing campaigns to end users of our Employee Savings platform. This role is the perfect first step into a flourishing digital marketing career. RESPONSIBILITIES • Building email marketing campaigns with accuracy, for top high street brands and setting up different variations in the email service provider (ESP). • Reporting on email marketing campaigns and suggesting new ideas to increase engagement. • Supporting the B2C Marketing Manager with the running of the Employee Savings email programme to end users. • Sourcing relevant and engaging imagery and content for email marketing campaigns, and copyrighting when required. • Supporting the deployment of our busy social media content programme through research, image finding and copywriting. • Working with the Creative team to produce visual and innovative ways to display content across digital channels. • Staying on top of social media monitoring and listening - identifying market and competitor trends. • Maintaining a full social media content calendar, including liaising with the wider marketing team to make sure key events and campaign dates are recorded. • Utilising analytical tools to evaluate our social media performance across all channels, including strategic competitor analysis. • Managing customer feedback from social channels – escalating it to the right people in the company and replying to customers directly on the relevant platform. • Keeping the website copy up-to-date and making amendments when necessary. • Working closely with the retail team to ensure that all merchant information is kept up-to-date and accurate on the website. • Managing the purchasing process for digital marketing expenses. Ideally you will possess these attitudes by the bucket-load and also be: • A self-starter who is comfortable with working in a fast-paced, ‘let’s do it’ environment - someone who takes pride in their work and shows ownership in their activity • A great team-player and enjoy working with others to achieve exceptional team results REQUIREMENTS • Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a marketing related subject). • A passion for all things digital marketing and a willingness to learn and develop. • Good command of English (including grammar, spelling etc) plus an ability to adapt your own style of writing to the needs of individual audiences • Ability to prioritise and multi-task. • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. • Some understanding of B2B and B2C online, social and email marketing. • Good Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Excellent attention to detail.
