Description: About Third Space Learning We are a team of technologists, educators and entrepreneurs who are helping to transform an education system in which too many children still fall through the gaps. We provide one-to-one maths tuition to Primary School pupils and GCSE level students across the UK, using our online platform to connect children to our global community of tutors. Our company was founded in 2013 and is based near Aldgate, London. We’re a team of 48 in our headquarters in London and we have a tutor community of over 1,000+ based largely in Sri Lanka and India. The Role As a Customer Support intern your role will be to be the main point of contact for general support queries. In the Autumn term we will have 1100+ schools starting a new academic year of sessions. As a customer support intern you will be there to help them get set up for their sessions and to support them as we move through the Autumn term. . You need the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast moving environment. During the Autumn term the team handles a high amount of incoming queries. You need to be comfortable both to build a rapport with someone over the phone and effectively communicate over email and live chat. Responsibilities and tasks include: Resolving general customer queries - Point of contact for any of our customers when they have a query over phone, email and instant chat. - Deal with these effectively and efficiently to delight our customers, with joint ownership of team KPIs. Experience monitoring - Assist our team of Account Managers in establishing which schools we should be more closely monitoring Internal Coordination and Communication - Ensuring all your interactions with customers are recorded and kept up to date. - Communicating and coordinating with the wider team to ensure a seamless customer experience for everyone we work with. You will also be involved in ad hoc tasks and projects which come up within the team where needed, such as: - Supporting the team in setting-up a new customer - Upsell and Retention calls - Providing feedback to the other teams in order to improve user experience Requirements We’re looking for tenacious and empathetic team members with good communication skills. You’ll be both passionate about what we do and a friendly person who is able to relate well to people they’ve just met. We’re looking for: - Good written and verbal communication skills - Empathy - Excellent personal organisation and attention to detail - Ability to build a rapport with customers over the phone - Ability to learn quickly - A positive can-do attitude - Willing to work independently as well as in a team, taking initiative to ensure tasks are managed effectively and efficiently - Experience in education is a plus but not essential - Clear passion and enthusiasm for our mission - Working hours will be 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday We are looking to hire 2 interns in total. The internship will start at the end of August 2021 and run for 12 - 15 weeks with the view to a potential permanent role at the end.
