Kimichi School will be the first true music specialist school in the West Midlands, requiring every child to play an instrument, but not ability based. We believe music is much more than a discrete subject, and that education today is in the news for all the wrong reasons. We wish to change that. We're building our school from the ground up, very much learning as we go. We are currently in the process of applying for DfE registration, and require an intern who is efficient, organised and can assist with administration work. This is an excellent opportunities to join a company (with charitable status) that intends to change the way education happens; certainly at this school. There are opportunities to create as much as is wanted as well as getting hands on with the day to day ordeals of starting a school from nothing. We will be an independent school, but wish to break barriers with school fees that are acceptable to the average family. We wish to involve the community as much as possible with sponsorships and scholarships, and are applying to major trusts and grants as well. This is an exciting opportunity for someone willing to come in at ground level and build something unique in the West Midlands.
