The employment market is evolving globally, which calls for a continuous upskilling of candidates, especially fresh graduates, to increase their chances of getting the desired jobs. One way to upskill yourself and gain relevant experience is going for internships.

As Wikipedia quotes ‘An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organisation for a limited period of time.’ It is essentially taken up by university students, or graduates and can be full time or part-time, depending upon the requirement or the Internship Program of the company.

Internships provide students with real-world work experience, allowing them to understand team structures, company culture, and professional workflows. It also lets you practically utilise your academic knowledge in a lot of areas, which will make you feel proud of having the required skills.

It’s not necessary that you would create your career in the field you studied for. While interning and learning new things, you might find your passion in some other discipline which would lead you to take your next career steps accordingly.
