Grabbing Interview Opportunities

Samples Responses to Speak On Your Weaknesses during Intern Interviews

When asked in an interview, "What is your weakness?" there are a number of appropriate and inappropriate ways to respond. To come up with a vulnerability is the most difficult aspect. Balancing it up is essential. Here's a list of some more potential shortcomings in your interview, along with some sample answers to get you started.

Samples Responses to Speak On Your Weaknesses during Intern Interviews
One of the trick questions in interviews is "What is your weakness?" I bet it won’t come to your mind instantly. You will end up thinking hard. You would want to be honest as well as not giving yourself away by saying anything randomly.
This post will help you with some such example that you can use in your interviews for internship roles. Consider your past situations and choose the ones that would define you well. At the same time, do not disclose shortcomings that might make you look less impressive in front of the interviewer.

1.    Failure to trust. A lot of people have difficulty trusting their best qualities.
This is a brilliant answer; it indicates you are conscious of yourself and implies that you are much better than you believe. Be careful to provide an example of how your lack of trust has affected your studies or jobs in the past in order to avoid the unnecessary modesty. Share how you are trying to create a better version of yourself making you a better employee. Example: Next week I'll graduate and because I lack expertise, I sometimes lose faith.
I try my level best to finish work within deadlines, and I'm getting high grades—but yet, I'm not always certain of my skills. Therefore, I have joined the Toastmasters to concentrate on my public speech and management abilities. I also aim to communicate publicly once per week – either to start a conversation or to express my views.

2.    Detail Oriented. Details are crucial, and for many professions, they’re vital.
However, balancing the specifics with the task given will prove you to be an ideal intern. Demonstrate to the interviewer by expressing how you also work on big tasks, by being meticulous and purposeful. Example: I get carried away with small things and I call it a huge weakness.
I would want to accomplish everything instead of getting things done step by step. I realise things need to get done systematically, hence, I now examine and evaluate things to identify where I have to spend my efforts.

3.    Critical approach. Criticism is difficult for the majority of people to accept, but it also contributes to your growth. That's a strong, honest answer. Concentrate on how you learnt how to handle criticism and how you grew up out of it in the past.
Example: I must acknowledge I find criticism hard to accept. The fact is that I truly do work hard, and I feel dejected when people find fault with it. I used to get anxious and defensive, but last year I started to take yoga lessons, and it was extremely beneficial. I find possibilities  by learning to listen closely to the criticism—and this empowers me.

4.    Being an Introvert: It's not exactly a weakness, but it can turn into one for some roles. It might be a problem in a people-facing position. May be talking more about your increased productivity while working independently would sound better than simply saying you hate people. Share instances of your team player attitude too.
Example: Some folks like it 24/7, but I'm an independent thinker. That's usually okay as a coder. I just do my task. However, I have noticed that many of the finest ideas come with others through discussing, therefore I'm striving towards a bit more extroverted. I went to the computer science department, which has partnered with me in an automation project with other programmers and engineers. We need to work together, and I genuinely like it since it's a field I enjoy working in.

5.    Feedback from individuals: Feedbacks are vital, but compassion is essential. When you perceive this as a shortcoming, you demonstrate your concern for the sentiments of others. This will convince your interviewer that you are honest and able to adapt your communication approach to the demands of various people.
Example: I might be too straightforward or direct. I prefer talking to the point, but I discovered with time that’s not a trait to be followed at all times. Now, when it comes to my communication strategy, I am more sensitive and understanding. Although I still think constructive input is essential, I strive to make it smoother and balance it with a lot of positive comments.

6.    Uber Sensitive: It's natural to experience strong sentiments due to thoughtless emails or getting stopped mid-sentence. At the same time, it implies you are in contact with your instincts and really worry about others' opinions. Any instance of a moment when you have rebounded from the attack will demonstrate that you are developing a tougher skin.
Example: I'm a delicate person, and that may be difficult at work. Sometimes I accept personal statements, or read too much between the lines. I am learning now to brush off negative comments and focus on good ones. I remember that problems happen to everyone and not just to me.
