Position: Fleet Coordinator Location: Intercity Hire Ltd, Birmingham, United Kingdom Salary: Competitive salary based on experience About the Company: Intercity Hire Ltd is a leading transportation company that provides reliable and efficient fleet services to businesses across UK. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our clients. Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Coordinator to join our team. The Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are well-maintained, and drivers are following company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and schedule vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure the fleet is in good working condition at all times - Monitor and track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs - Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs - Ensure all vehicles are properly licensed and insured - Develop and implement fleet safety policies and procedures - Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and equipment - Monitor driver performance and provide feedback and training as needed - Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers - Negotiate and secure competitive pricing for vehicle maintenance and repairs - Prepare and maintain reports on fleet performance and costs - Assist with the recruitment and training of new drivers - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments Requirements: - Proven experience as a Fleet Coordinator or similar role - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Strong attention to detail - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures - Familiarity with fleet management software - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Knowledge of health and safety regulations - Valid driver's license If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for fleet management and a desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
