Description: Hours: 21 hours/week; Flexible – most of the activities can be completely at whichever time suits the team member, there are set times when they need to be available for our events and after (these are some Tue/Wed/Thu mornings from 8:30 and some (not all) Wed evenings (5-7pm) Salary: Unpaid Placement Start date: ASAP Length of placement: 6 Months Equipment: Laptop and internet connection essential About Us BLF is... The aim is to support our community of entrepreneurs to ensure they get the most value from being part of the membership and to help our team to work effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities include managing our data records, documenting and improving our processes, managing our systems and setting up automations where needed. Also looking after our resources library. This is a great opportunity to develop your operations and project management skills. You might learn a lot about various modern tools and automation (which is quite a hot topic). If you love organising stuff, Excel spreadsheets and figuring out how to make things better, you’ll love this role. This role can also give you a lot of confidence as you realise that even business owners who run companies are human and face similar challenges to everyone else. If you are into entrepreneurship and see yourself one day starting your own business, this will be a masterclass of what it takes to succeed in business. And you will grow your network with amazing business owners who might be potential employers or business partners in the future. Benefits ● Flexible hours (but ideally be there for the events – gatherings Thu 8:30-9:30am 1x a month, Wed 5-6:30pm 2x a month) ● Business owners’ community (entrepreneurial advice, network) ● Mentoring for your role (copywriting/events organising/etc.) Person specification Essential: ● Positive can-do attitude, personal drive, being a quick learner and attention to detail are essential. ● Entrepreneurial person who is passionate about entrepreneurship and business owners. ● Hands-on experience with Excel/Google Sheets is expected. ● Beneficial experience: process design and documentation, data entry, automation setups. ● Experience with following tools is a plus (but we can teach you): Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Google Forms, Zapier/Integromat, Asana (or similar) ● Independent and resourceful ● 80/20 mindset (doer/finisher, not a perfectionist) Desirable: ● Knowledge of and experience with video editing software To Apply: Send the following using the subject line “Business Operations Intern – Your Name”: ● Your CV ● A covering letter clearly outlining how you are suitable for this role In your application letter please ensure you address the following questions: ● Please specify what skills and experience you can bring to the role Closing date: 20th August 2021
