Description: 3D Printing Industry (3dprintingindustry.com) is currently seeking a Business Development Intern (BD), available to start as soon as possible. Based in Farringdon in central London 3D Printing Industry is the leading industry news source on additive manufacturing (or 3D Printing) with almost 10 years in the field. Candidates will therefore be at the forefront of the ever growing Additive Manufacturing Industry, and will engage in regular conversation with leading organisations in this sector to build and nurture relationships, and gain valuable insight on the Industry. We are currently seeking a highly motivated intern with an interest in publishing, or the Engineering / Additive Manufacturing industries, to join the sales team at 3DPI as Business Development intern, charged with assisting the sales manager finding and creating new relationships with potential future clients / advertisers and maintaining existing relationships with existing customers. Candidates will gain experience in assisting with the management of existing client accounts as well as prospecting potential new business opportunities in order to introduce these contacts to the head of sales. As a part of this, candidates will also be required to create and manage databases and contact lists for their territories. The role will be client facing and will require strong competency in both written and spoken english in order to successfully engage with prospective clients. BD’s will work closely with head of sales to report on performance, client behaviours and trends, as well as assisting in establishing new strategies and carving new business opportunities. Objectives of the Internship - Assisting sales manager with development new business opportunities and managing existing sales pipeline - Assist in the development of relationships with new and existing clients to introduce to sales - Identify new markets and industries to develop connections with - Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline - Assist in the coordination and implementation of client marketing strategies - Assist the marketing team by reporting performance, and metrics on client campaigns Preferred experience - Bachelor’s degree in business or management preferred but not required - Prior experience in a sales environment, notably Advertising / B2B sales - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience with Excel, Wordpress, social media platforms - Proven ability to plan and manage resources - Ability to work autonomously - Experience with cold calling and engaging with new clients
