About the Role We are looking for someone to manage and grow our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok channels to use them as tools to build our brand and grow our school by enlarging our pool of students, parents and carers. The main functions of our Social Media Specialist will be; • To generate interest, traffic and engagement with our website https://www.espd.school/ and our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok channels. • To use social media as a tool to increase tutorial bookings made by parents/guardians and students over 18 with GCSE and A Level tutors at ESPD. • To use social media to develop and promote ESPD as the preeminent brand in tutoring. • To ensure all posts and communication are suitable for our target audiences (students, parents/guardians and teachers) and consistent with the ethos and values of a school. The main responsibilities and functions of the successful intern include; 1. Liaising with the Director to plan and create posts. 2. Posting Mon-Thu 6-7pm. 3. Commenting, liking and engaging with appropriate channels on our social media platforms. 4. Growing our base of followers on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok. 5. Increasing likes, comments and shares (overall engagement) on our posts. 6. Join appropriate groups where business opportunities exist and promptly seize business opportunities when they arise within these groups. 7. Extract short videos from our extended YouTube videos that can be posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok. 8. Suggest ideas, initiatives and strategies to the Director about how social media can be used to generate business, widen our reach and expand our pool of students, parents and carers. We also have YouTube and Linkedin channels but the Director of School will manage them. Minimum Intern Requirements The successful intern will be responsible for growing our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok channels so he/she must have excellent experience of using these portals and understand how to best use them to grow our school. Further to points 2 and 6 above, the successful intern must be ready to post at the times stated above and be generally ready to respond to business opportunities e.g. if someone in a Facebook group posts that they are looking for a maths tutor, our Social Media Specialist should be ready to promptly message them to position ESPD favourably for a booking. Our Social Media Specialist must be a trust worthy, organised and respectful person. We are looking for someone with a good work ethic who is willing to co-operate, meet targets and who is discernably committed to our school. Compensation/benefits offered The Social Media Specialist will be working closely with the Director of School who is a very experienced teacher with a DBS check and someone who’s vocation is to support young people to give them the best start to young adulthood. If you try your best, have a positive attitude, meet the minimum requirements above and show signs of progress, you will undoubtedly find this to be a very supportive and positive placement that you will enjoy being a part of. We will pay £30 per month to cover expenses such as data and take pride in giving deserving young people outstanding references and recommendation letters to help them with the next phase in their lives.
