Job Description
We require an architectural assistant to join our team for a 10 week work experience program.
Task and Responsibilities:
The Architectural Assistant shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- • Communicating with manager to understand project requirements.
- • Creating computer models of designs by inputting data into 3D modelling software programs
- • Drafting initial building plans that include floor plans, elevations, and sections
- • Making calculations for building materials based on design requirements and available budgets
- • Preparing detailed sketches of proposed designs.
- • Making suggestions as to amendments of the design.
- • Suggesting changes to designs based on feedback or procedural requirements such as building/ planning regulations.
Role Requirements:
- • Bachelor degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification is recommended.
- • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3-D programs and other modelling software.
- • Knowledge of building surveying, current planning and UK building regulations.
- • Ability to work under own initiative.
- • Access to computer and software.
- • Ability to work a high degree of accuracy.
- • Excellent time management and presentation skills.
- • Able to commit 6 hours a week including 1 hour weekly catch up.
- • Can do positive attitude.
