Position: Social Media Coordinator for Basketball Team Location: [Insert location] Salary: Unpaid - with the potential for payment Contract: Full-time, permanent About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our basketball team as a Social Media Coordinator. As the Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for starting, managing and developing our team's social media presence across various platforms. You will play a crucial role in promoting our team, engaging with fans, and increasing our online presence. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a social media strategy to promote the team and its activities - Create engaging and relevant content for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube - Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner - Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and fan engagement - Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure the team's social media presence is innovative and effective - Work closely with players, coaches, and other team members to create behind-the-scenes content and showcase the team's personality - Attend team events and games to capture and share live content on social media - Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports to track the success of social media efforts - Identify and engage with influencers and partners to expand the team's reach and audience - Manage the team's social media budget and ensure all expenses are within budget guidelines Requirements: - Knowledge of basketball and preferably 3x3 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in British English - Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences - Proven experience in creating engaging and creative social media content - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Passion for basketball and knowledge of the sport - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for team events and games If you are a social media savvy individual with a passion for basketball, we want to hear from you!
