Job Specification
Position: Youth Worker About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people. As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and opportunities for personal and social development to young people aged 11-25. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities, programs, and workshops for young people. - Build positive relationships with young people and create a safe and inclusive environment for them to express themselves. - Provide one-to-one support and advice to young people, addressing any issues or concerns they may have. - Work closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure the needs of young people are met. - Identify and support young people who may be at risk or in need of additional support. - Encourage and empower young people to participate in decision-making processes and take on leadership roles. - Keep accurate records of all interactions and activities with young people. - Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. - Promote the youth service and its activities to the wider community. Requirements: - Knowledge of current issues and challenges facing young people. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to build rapport and establish trust with young people. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
