Congratulations! You’ve got the internship! Sounds amazing, right? Of course, it’s supposedly the best feeling in the world, given the global economic situation, which is under stress since forever. So it’s a huge accomplishment when you grab that job you’ve been preparing for and giving interviews.

Now is the time to shine at your new job. Follow these first day at work tips to make a great impression. Arrive Early

You won’t look good coming in late on your first day, no matter where you got stuck. So pay attention to the timings, reach at least 15 mins earlier at the venue. That would make you look a sincere intern, and not a desperate one.  

Stay Professional

Understand that your new office isn’t a new friend group where you can behave as you like. Your misconduct will be pointed out. Behave responsible and professionally while meeting with anyone that comes your way. Show them that you may be new on the floor, but you definitely are aware of the etiquette.

Understand the Protocol

Every company has them, and you as a new candidate has a duty to recognize them well. They will help smoothen your path, and you will likely make fewer mistakes. So instead of thinking of those induction sessions as boring and time-consuming, pay attention, so you won’t be pointed out for a misconduct or negligence during your training period. (Trust that it really doesn’t look good.)

Be friendly and interactive

You don’t want to come out as a reserved and shy type. It's understandable of a new place but this is when you can know who’s who of the company. Befriending at least one of team members’ will help you in the long run. Don’t be shy, and say a Hi to all those whom you meet with.

Manage your Mobile phone

One of the most important of the work rules is keeping your phone on vibration or silent while in office. No one will like it if you phone keeps chiming at all times. People not expect you to be responsible with your habits.

Well, it's your new job, so you have got to be pretty careful of your overall conduct. You will meet with new people, learn new things, and of course would share your knowledge as well. People will create notions about you so staying positive and leaving the work at the end of the day smiling will create better path in the coming days.
